How to Maintain a Healthy Spine

Chiropractors state ”Resolving spinal complaints requires treatment of the muscles, restoration of spinal mobility, education of proper ergonomics, and some form of strengthening and stretching exercises.

Cskeleton manhiropractic has worked for nearly 100 years on more than 100 million people. Patients range from small infants to seniors in their late 90’s. Chiropractic is based on the principle that the nervous system influences a person’s overall health and that interference with the system impairs normal functions and lowers resistance to disease. This interference is caused by vertebral subluxations. A subluxation is defined as the misalignment of bones, resulting in nerve pressure or irritation.

Whether it stems from incorrect posture or the result of a sports injury, subluxations and pain in your back can be excruciating. These subluxations can become debilitating if not treated properly. Chiropractors say pain in the back can often be cleared up with adjustments and strengthening exercises. While sprains and strains to the spine can occur as a result of trauma. They also can be caused by something as simple as poor posture. The muscles of the back can undergo a tremendous amount of stress because of poor posture. When this happens, the muscle connection can become fibrotic and form knots in your muscles. These knots are what you may commonly ask someone to rub out of your back during a massage. The pain can become excruciating and in some cases shoot down your arms and legs.

The last step is preventing injury. Several ways to prevent injury are to have an ergonomically correct work station, take extra precautions when lifting anything heavy, and make sure you are well supported when lifting your children. This is especially important when placing them in their car seat.

Bidwell Chiropractic goes beyond just adjusting the subluxations.

“Our goal is to get patients out of pain and keep them, out of pain.”

We want to prevent injuries by teaching patients a variety of stretches to help regain their flexibility. Then retrain the muscles to work properly by giving specific exercises to strengthen the muscles.

A healthy back can be achieved by following all of the above instruction along with regular wellness Chiropractic adjustments.
